Rose Cabot has spent her whole life refusing men who think a woman is there to obey, so when she looks Denver's most feared mafia boss dead in the eye and dares him to make her stop talking, she has no idea what she just started. Vincent Slater has never wanted anything the way he suddenly wants the one woman who will not tremble in front of him. What does a man used to being obeyed do with the woman who simply refuses to break?
This story was good. Loved both characters. Would’ve loved hearing Rose talking to Vincent about her family. Good ending. Also made me cry.
Oh Robin, making you cry means I did my job right 🥹 I love that you connected with Rose and Vincent so deeply. And you're right, a moment of Rose opening up to him about her family would have been beautiful. Tucking that idea away. Thank you, truly. 💕
To withhold information as Rose did is just as bad when it's the woman.
You're so right, Kathy 💭 Holding back the truth cuts just as deep no matter who does it, and Rose is no exception. I love that you hold all my characters to the same honest standard. Thank you for reading so closely. 💕
