I really prefer this format, especially with the alternating perspectives of the two main characters. I'm not quite sure where Book 1 ends and Book 2 begins, or if this is just one book. While the details are more relevant, there is definitely room for improvement. The beginning drags on for quite a while without adding much value, especially since the plot is already familiar by the midpoint. However, I do see a significant positive change: this book no longer sticks to the same template as others, which I really appreciate. Thank you for your effort.

I’m having a hard enough time getting through book 1. You’re all over the place. Why can’t you be more straight forward. I already fell asleep once trying to get through this. I’m going to try and finish it though.

Miss Lena, ah book 2 is anti-climactic...unless she gets a baby, or he has an antagonist waiting like a snake in the grass or the prosecutor didn't know somebody else knows about her cutting corners, and reports her to the bar or told somebody in passing about her short-cut and now she gotta fight for her law license or the bad guy she locked up comes at her from jail! No on book 2, I'm an old romantic, let sleeping dogs lie!
