Serafina Sorrentino raised her glass at her father's engagement party and told two mafia families she'd been sleeping with Ruggero Carbone for four years. It was a lie. She is twenty-five and no one has ever touched her. But in those families, a man who takes another boss's daughter without asking doesn't get a wedding. He gets six weeks.
Very good story. It touches the secrecy of sexual assault in families.
Good story. I’d raise my glass. Her husband was a special guy.
I know you are known for dark romance but I would like more kidnapping and the woman being in the lead. A little on the lighter side. But with teeth.
This girl is funny! Fina was a fire cracker
Tense and then funny, hard to describe for me. She, was molested which at 15 is just bad! I was relieved when the humor took over! And yes!! I would have raised a glass ❤️
Marion, thank you for feeling it so fully. You named exactly what I hoped for, the ache and the relief sitting right beside each other, and yes, I would raise that glass right along with you. ❤️
Rape victims are rarely believed especially from their own families 🙏🏻
I stand with Serafina. That predator should have been sleeping with the fishes. Shame on her father for not standing by her at 15.
Her father was a piece of work!
omg this one was emotionally gripping and enuff humor at the end to relief the tension. Her father was a POS i see his point about why he needed bruni (protetcing 40 families) , but he could have kicked out bruni after the deal but to keep him at the table that is what imo made him a POS. And his new wife, she found out she was lied to about the earrings and kept wearing them !!!!???? wth. Give them back!!! the gull to admit she knew she was lied to and didnt immediately give them back!!
Margaret, thank you for going that deep with me. You are right about the father, the smart move was keeping forty families safe, but leaving Bruni at the table after the deal is what crossed the line. And the earrings, worn knowing the lie, were meant to make your blood boil. They did their job. ❤️
Fantastisk love story…Pia from Denmark 🇩🇰 😊❤️
Intensely psychological.
I can’t even…. thank you for the levity in amongst the pain. She’s so courageous and everyone deserves a Rutgers but unfortunately not always does. Pop pulls it out in the end and I don’t know how I would have handled that. Never had that chance. 2 things I do know. 1. Pops wouldn’t have walked me down any aisle. Ever. 2. I’d have stood with Serafina NO hesitation.
