Adeline had it all planned, a quiet single motherhood with an anonymous donor, until the clinic's mistake left her carrying the child of Julian Westbourne, the arrogant billionaire she cannot stand. Now the man who swore he never wanted children cannot stop finding reasons to protect her. Can she really hold him at arm's length when the last man she ever wanted refuses to stop showing up for her?
I have to disagree. I think all of the details make the stories. Any good novel has details about surroundings. It’s what allows you to see it in your minds eye.
Thank you for this, you put words to exactly why we write the way we do, the details are how you step inside the room. Both sides of this are welcome here, and hearing what you love helps us keep the balance. So glad the world pulls you in.
I like your stories, however there is way too many descriptions of everything, too many analogies, too many comparisons, too much filler, can you just dumb it down a bit, and tell the story, maybe be a bit more direct in the story telling with less overall filler descriptions and words, it’s too wordy. Perhaps more character development with less filler and everything else.
Thank you Heather, this is genuinely helpful. I hear you, the story should move and not make you wade through it. I am working on tightening the writing so it hits harder and faster. Which parts felt the most slowed down for you?
Overwhelming n intense feeling the emotions Julian had to experience over the choices!
